Narrative As Books Origins (Origins #1)

An action packed, fast-paced, mystery sci-fi thriller like you've never read before! Join the thousands of fans that have taken S.E. Meyer's thrilling, fast paced, roller-coaster ride, deep into the thought provoking, controversial, yet compelling world of what we think we know to be true. John Mitchell's life in the small Midwestern town of Mill City Wisconsin is about to change forever. The animals in his lab at the Neuro Science Research center suddenly die, he learns gut wrenching news about his wife of ten years and the most important meeting of his career gets canceled when his boss mysteriously disappears. After accidentally injecting himself with a serum made from the instructions scribed on a seven-thousand-year-old artifact John discovers he has new abilities and new blood-chilling enemies. He and his wife Jenny are soon running for their lives from the terrifying figures that will stop at nothing to protect the serum's seven-thousand-year-old secret and retrieve the artifact needed to finish their plans. On the run and searching for answers they are thrown into a world of ancient secrets, esoteric mysteries and a clandestine underground race when they become trapped in a cavern deep under the ruins of ancient Babylon. As millions of people around the world suddenly begin disappearing they learn the horrific news of the inevitable extinction of the Human Race. But when John discovers the hideously evil secret motivation of the ancient race that is supposed to be saving them he must rely on his new-found abilities to save the woman he loves, Earth and the billions of tortured souls locked deep within it. All references to historical locations, religions, ancient writings and the representation of current beliefs of local peoples from around the world described in this novel are true.

Assessment Appertaining To Books Origins (Origins #1)
Mythology and the ancients so often are viewed as apart from contemporary society. Authors have borrowed from them, reshaped them and repurposed them. The epic stories revisit these in their own format and style. Star wars for example was a contemporary restatement of the classical mythology of the Greeks and the Romans. The warriors journey is the essential story of most epic ancient and contemporary. S.E. Meyer has opened the doors directly on both the epic and the mythology by placing them

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It's well written and engaging. This is part one and I'm definitely going to read the next one.Publisher's summary:John Mitchell's life in the small Midwestern town of Mill City Wisconsin is about to change forever. A DNF book - I really thought this book was going to be a great choice for me. But, it turns out that I couldn't continue past the second chapter.I felt that the prologue was enough to keep me reading, but then chapter one dragged on and on. I found that some information was repeated, way too often, and in a manner that made it seem like the author was introducing it for the first (not the third) time. All in all, the premise of this book seemed great. There's a need for someone to go back and

So I gave three stars to this book because I was feeling generous. The author needs to really invest time into proof reading or at the very least get a team of readers to do it for him. There were some many errors in this book that I started to read phonetically to try to ignore his inability to distinguish the difference between "your" and "you're".The story is really the strength of this book although it also drags on in some parts. It also gets a bit preachy but I was able to attribute that to

READ THIS SERIES!I would recommend this to anyone! It is packed full of action! So many twists in the story made it extremely immersing and interesting. S.E. Meyer is a new favorite author and can't wait to read his next book!Great book and a really interesting Armageddon stoeWow, I actually knew most of the true parts of this book about ancient history but I love how it was all tied up and lined up like it was and wow what a interesting way to have Armageddon come about and where and what Hell is. Even the tortured souls! This book was not only interesting and fascinating it also moved at a fast pace. If you like end of the world books without the religion but with interesting alternative theories ( well alternative

I couldnt put it down! From the moment I began reading Origins I was sucked in. The pacing of the plot and the believability of the characters that are present within them create an atmosphere within the novel which leave you craving for more. The amount of detail about ancient religions as well as the interweaving of facts from modern day religions also suggests the author has done a tremendous amount of background work in getting all the data. Did I mention he involves aliens in all of this? I

Origins will appeal to the reader that is intrigued by some of the things created by the ancients; like the Nazca lines and the pyramids. The reader that doesnt dismiss the idea that there might have been some alien influence. But even if youre a sceptic like me you will still enjoy this book; it is a good action adventure. This is a good story due to two factors; Mr Meyer knows how to write and keep his reader on the edge of his/her seat. Secondly he knows his stuff; you can tell that he has
