Criticize Of Books Whispers of the Dead (David Hunter #3)
Unfortunately I predicted the murderer early on in this book. It was still very disgusting and full of maggots as all good David Hunter books are. As this book made me stay up till 1 am in the hopes that I could finish it before I leave for vacation it deserve the 4 stars even though I am getting more and more annoyed with his never ending endings, which feel very long and overextended. But I am still very excited for book number 4 😄

This author never fails to disappoint me with a thriller that I can't seem to put down. His main character, Dr. David Hunter, is now in the United States at the Tennessee Body Farm working with an old colleague after surviving an attack from a serial killer in the last book. The killer in this book likes to photograph his victims in the very last moments of death and has been killing vagrants for years without interruption, but he steps things up by leaving a body in a rental cabin in the Smoky

I enjoy these books a lot. The plots are always clever and unique. I love David Hunter, because he has many facets to his character. The science presented is interesting, even to a non-science nerd like myself. This book visits the Body Farm, which is interesting in itself. I plan to start the next book in the series this week!

Beckett turns the tables on what his fans are used to reading, moving his band of ever-new characters from the rural spots within the United Kingdom to Tennessee, more specifically the Body Farm in and around Knoxville. This move, genius in my mind, is poignant, as it is the place where Beckett, a reporter by profession, learned about forensic anthropology and can be said to have helped push along his idea for this series and its main character. Moving things to the US does little to change the

Excellent mystery - quite gory but very well written, with characters you really like. Beckett apparently wrote two novels before this one with the same protagonist, Dr. David Hunter, but I didn't know that when I chose this from the library. I will definitely be reading both of them, too!

I think this is my favorite book of the series so far!The writing style was amazing and easy to read as always. The characters were realistic and well developed. The storyline was fantastic and exciting, without being too over the top.Something I love in every book I read by this author, is how well researched everything seems. I once again felt like I've learnt tons of new stuff. Overall, a very entertaining, interesting and suspenseful reading experience.

3,5⭐ This series is still going strong - one more to go... For once all books have been translated to Danish :-)
