Chronicle In Pursuance Of Books Annabel Horton: Lost Witch of Salem

From Lilac Wolf and Stuff

This book gave me chills. Following Annabel as she went from body to body, visited time periods past and future, and fought for lover and family over and over. This book is chocked full of action, magic and philosophy.

All through the book, though Annabel knows she is a witch, she also knows she is a Christian and that God has blessed her. She also spends a lot of time battling a demon who doesn't even have a bone to pick with her, it's a great aunt or something.

I will admit, while I adored this book I was uncomfortable with the idea that the only religions touched on were Christianity and Satanism (media's definition on that one, too). But that being said, it really did drive the story. There is such a stark disparity between God and Satan. It made the story so colorful.

As for Annabel, she is not without sin. She stole the bodies of innocents early on. Then she only stole from those she deemed "evil" but I think the problem in that is thinking she has the right to judge. The other mistake is working so hard for revenge over the loss of money in the time period she keeps returning to.

It's kind of weird. She goes all over, but there's a central progression to the story that anchors it. I liked all the characters - and truly there's not a complete hero among the bunch. Annabel has caused some of her own problems, and her children and grand children have caused others. It's not all on that demon.

The story also has some harsh reality in it. It's very well written, with a polished and professional feel to it. Yeah! Seriously couldn't put this down. I worked so hard yesterday to clean the boys room and do the house work that needed to be done...but all I could think about was when it was time to stop and pick up that book again! So yup, this one is getting 5 stars.

Weigh Up Regarding Books Annabel Horton: Lost Witch of Salem
This book was very well written. The storyline was unique and the characters were well developed and believable. This book had the potential to go way wrong, but the author did an amazing job.

Finding such a unique voice for a book whos subject matter, the Salem Witch Trials, conjures already strong preconceived ideas was quite a find. Rays writing is accomplished and prose is tight and I found the scene descriptions and dialogue were just as enjoyable as the plot itself. Annabel Horton makes for an excellent lead character and I think this would translate very well into a TV series. With the author paying such close attention to the type of language that would have been prevalent at

Wow I was excited to read this book and it did not disappoint! The author beautifully wove the many layers of Annabel, following her in different time periods. It's emotional and creepy, with a few twists, a complete page turner. I won this ARC in exchange for my review.

My Review:It took me a few chapters to get into this book, but once i had got over that i really enjoyed the story. The characters were well written and the story line itself was far different to what i expected. The time travel and family connections are amazingly in depth and the fight from the devils clutches is well worked and well written. This is not a YA read but it is full of action and with great interaction between the characters. I really like Annabel as a character she try's to keep

3 and 3/4 stars for me.Annabel Horton is cursed. This story, written in the style of classical literature, describes Annabel's journey through the dimensions of time trying to reunite with her loved ones and fight the evil force that is torturing them all. The book has an adult content warning up front which is quite warranted. This was a very different type of book for me - much darker than I usually read. Although dark, it is not overly graphic which I appreciate.

Annabel Horton: Lost Witch of Salem by Olivia Hardy Ray is a wonderful story that I have read. This is a wonderfuls story writen by a brand new author for me to read and I fell in love with it. The characters and the story line are wonderful to read. I highly recommend this to everyone who loves reading about fantasy in their stories.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I received this book free from First Reads in exchange for a honest review. The book is not what I thought it would be. When I got it, I was pleased to see it wasn't the typical "Salem Witch" book. However, I STRUGGLED to read this book. I about quit several times, but kept on reading. I finally stopped about chapter 36. I can't do it anymore, and I rarely set aside a book. This book had great possibilities...but never lived up to any of them. The whole time travel thing got to be old, fast. The
