Al terminar este libro no estaba segura si era una genialidad o una de mis peores lecturas del año. Al final me decanté por lo último. Quiero creer que la intención de Hilary Freeman fue "advertir" a las mujeres jóvenes de los riesgos que conlleva una relación como la de Naomi y Danny. Por un lado, me gustó como en la historia se plasmaron las inseguridades (físicas y emocionales) de Naomi, y como ella entiende que hay muchos detalles alarmantes en el comportamiento de su enamorado; pero al final decide ignorarlos porque lo quiere. Puedo llegar a comprender lo anterior, al fin y al cabo son situaciones que suceden en la vida real, lo que no comprendí fueron las decisiones que tomó la protagonista. Danny fue algo así como la mezcla entre un príncipe sapo, embaucador y galán cliché. Su cara bien podría aparecer en un panfleto sobre abuso verbal y psicológico. Y sinceramente la ambientación, en lo personal, dejó mucho que desear; la historia se desarrolló en Londres, pero bien pudo haber pasado todo a la vuelta de la esquina porque las descripciones a mi no me transmitieron nada, no pude "transportarme" a ningún lugar, simple y sencillamente leía lo que ocurría con una mezcla de horror y enfado. Juro que esta historia en verdad me espantó, desde la primeras páginas presentí que las cosas iban a terminar mal y no me equivoqué, lo que sucede a lo largo del libro es una muestra de lo tóxico que puede ser mitificar el amor "romántico".

amazing..funny and sweet and soo sad! loved every minute of reading this book!

An amazing touching novel! :) This seems like a typical love story when you first start reading it, they are so sweet and in love...you reallly get to know both Naomi and Danny thanks to Hilary's awesome writing Their relationship progresses and they are really serious about each other...but when she moves in with him...she finds out a whole other side to her sweet perfect Danny and his dark secret.Well this book made me absolutely sob at the end! :(But it was worth a read!!! Deffo! Reccommend

This is one of the first books I have ever finished I read it as a young teenager in high school and loved it! It is an intense read and really shows how powerful and sometimes cruel a first love can be. I had a very rough relationship that went on for 4 years of my teenage life and could really feel for Naomi as she went through, obviously more dramatic, the same things I was going through. In the end this book helped me get out of that tough relationship and as much as it is just a fiction
